Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. She has released over 20 albums of studio work. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk and alternative rock although it has additional influence from hip music and jazz. Ani DiFranco was among the first musician to start her own record label in the year 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icons. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd, 1970. She was she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had met while attending in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
